Thorn.otf — Hannah's Park

Thorn.otf is a typeface that is designed during Type and written Language course taught by Tuomas Kortteinen. Designer followed the brief of this course, which was started from researching a extinct typefoundry and a subculture. Since the designer is from South Korea, she used Dolki, a feature of old Korean typefaces, which was made for Korean to get along with Japanese and Chinese letters when they are used together.

Thorn.otf는 본인이 핀란드 알토대학교의 타이포그래피 석사 과목을 수강하며 디자인한 로마자 폰트이다. 우리나라의 초기 폰트에서 볼 수 있는 특징인 돌기를 로마자에 적용해 가시가 돋힌 듯 하면서도 리드미컬한 움직임이 보여지는 폰트를 글립스를 활용하여 디자인하였다.
